Busy busy busy

One week out from the Mega-Ware Party and its full steam ahead at LSM Central (AKA our dining table). I think we will be having TV dinners on our laps all this week.

Today I have been framing the prints, making the ribbon and clip boxes, cutting out all of the gift tags, putting together our showbag goodies (lovely Rituelle soap on LSM postcard SHHH!!!) and generally getting very excited for next Sunday!

Molly and I trapsed through some lovely vintage shops this morning looking for some display pieces to spruce up the table and help display all of our lovely new products. I hope it ill all look beautiful.

Here are a few sneak peaks of today's activities...

This beautiful series of hand made artwork are beautiful paper sewn onto cars with bitton accesnt. They series includes birds, rabbits, whales and owls, and comein regular and large sizes. They are all framed in beautiful white frames. There are also some beautiful paper that has been framed as is- lovely accessory for any wall or table!

I am expecting these ribbon and clip boxes to be very popular- they include in the ribbon boxes, 6 ribbons and hair ties, and in the clip boxes, a beautiful feature clip, some ribbons and also some hair ties. They look gorgeous all done up in noodle boxes and clear cube boxes.

So for now, enjoy the sneak peaks and watch out for more updates throughout the week. I will be having anopther competition tomorrow to give away some more tickets too, so put your crative hats on tomorrow afternoon!
Hope you all have next Sunday circled in your diaries!

Wednesday Craft Activity #1- Basketfull of Goodies

After being inspired from some wonderful on-line friends, I have decided to try to do a weekly craft activity- especially in these winter days that seem to go on forever when you are inside for most of them!
For my first attempt, we made colourful nature-inspired masterpieces, chock full of leves in all shades of autumn brilliance, nuts and berries, flowers and weeds. Copious amounts of weeds.
We packed up the pram and headed to the park with a basket to fill with interesting things we could find.
Back home we pasted them onto paper but found that good 'ol sticky tape did an even better job. It kept them both busy for AGES.
I had done up a sheet for Ned to work with where he had to put the objects in their correct groups of Nuts & Berries, Flowers, Sticks and Leaves. He actually did really well with it. In the beginning. It then however, became a free-for-all and ended up a great big mountain of weeds- with some decorative berries on top for good measure!
If you want to download the activity sheet, I have put it at the bottom of this post.

Here are a couple of pics from our afternoon...

A Trip to the Park on a Sunny Afternoon

Monday afternoons are often spent f-a-s-t asleep after Mother's Group, but this particular day, no sleep in the house. Not a wink.
SO we packed up the pram, filled the nappy bay with treats, drinks and the camera, and headed for the park.
It was a beautiful sun-filled June day so where better to be. We also grabbed a basket in preparation for our first Craft Activity- to hopefully be filled with precious finds along the way (keep an eye out for my next entry).

New stock! Cluck cluck!

How adorable are these shoes for little people? Cute as a button.

These knitted booties are made of a beautiful soft 4ply 70% Merino and 30% Nylon mix. They are machine washable - on a gentle cycle. And they are super super cute!
The cross over straps keep these cute booties firmly in place and the really soft stretchy design stretches comfortably over little tooties. Unstretched they measure about 3.25" long and they have a lot of stretch due to the stitch and the shape. This makes them suitable for newborns and premmies!
At just $18 a pair they will are bound to start walking out the door.
Available from 5th July (to pre-order a pair please email us at littlespunkymonkey@gmail.com).

Adult-sized baby items?

Along with fleecy all-in-one jumpsuits for bedtime (rabbit ears and fluffy tail optional) and ready-made meals in a squishy packet (think Rafferty's Garden doing a rich lasagna variety), I would like to add the plush hooded towel to my list of baby items that I would like to use.

I came across this beautiful UK site today (drool) filled with the most gorgeous thingscalled The Nursery Window. I think I would like to have 15 children just so I can decorate each nursery differently.

Clip frames are rolling out!

I am very excited about these- they have certainly saved me searching through the bottom of the hair clip and ribbon box that I used to have.
I am starting with the basic dot fabrics but plan to do up some with our other fabrics- espeically the Amy Butler range. If nothing else they make for a lovely frame on the wall!
They are 30 x 20cm and have both a regular photo frame stand as well as hook for hanging on the wall.
The clips shown are only Molly's- look out for our own clips coming soon!

Zucchini cake + carrot cake = zucchini and carrot muffins

A day in the kitchen today to keep the troops occupied while its raining outside. I am not complaining!
We attempted to combine 2 cake recipes and then make muffins out of them instead. I *think* it worked (as I eat my 4th for the day).

Zucchini and Carrot Muffins
(makes about 24)

2 eggs
1 1/2 cups caster sugar
2/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cup self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups grated grated zucchini (lightly packed)
1 cup grated carrot (lightly packed)
2 cups crushed pineapple
1/2 cup almond meal
Icing sugar for dusting

Preheat oven to 180°C.
Combine eggs, sugar, oil and vanilla.
Sift in flour, baking powder and cinnamon.
Fold in zucchini, carrot, pineapple and almond meal.
Grease 2 large muffin trays and spoon in mixture, about 2/3 full.
Bake for around 15 minutes, checking regularly. Muffins are cooked when loely and brown.
Allow to cool slightly, then place on a wire rack to cool completely.
Dust with icing sugar.
These muffins keep well for 4-5 days in an airtight container.
